Construction Equipment Training
Finding a job in the construction industry can be difficult. Many companies say that they'd hire you if you only had some experience--but in order to get experience, you have to get hired in the first place! For many potential employees looking to break in, it can seem like an impossible situation.

There is one way around it, however. By taking one of our courses here at the HETA, you can bypass the whole experience/no-experience problem by getting construction equipment training that will teach you as much, if not more, about heavy equipment use than an on-site job. In addition to getting basic operating skills, you'll learn a lot about safety, maintenance, and many other issues that even experienced operators deal with on a day-to-day basis.
For heavy equipment operators "doing it right the first time" isn't just a good rule of thumb--it's an absolute must. Mess up and you could do serious damage, not to mention cause yourself or others injury. Want to avoid these risks, and make yourself a more appealing job candidate for any number of construction jobs? Then simply enroll in one of the two high-quality courses that we offer here at the HETA.

Heavy Equipment Operator Certificates
Although a certificate might seem like just a little bit of paper, it can mean the difference between a job and unemployment for many people. This is especially the case in construction. In order to be considered seriously for many jobs, you have to have a Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate--and in order to get a Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate, you have to get some training.

Potential students who are worried about how this kind of schooling might affect their finances should breathe a little easier. HETA is very affordable, and has a number of financing options for those in need. Plus, the length of our classes (three weeks for the basic, six for the advanced) means that the amount of time you aren't working is kept to an absolute minimum.

Dump Truck Training
Learning how to operate a dump truck, or any other piece of heavy equipment for that matter, is no easy thing. The best way to learn is, of course, experience--but then how are you going to get the necessary experience if you can't even get a job yet? For many people, the prospect of trying to overcome their status as beginners in a highly competitive industry can be frustrating, to say the least.

It doesn't have to be, however. Here at the HETA, we provide you with the kind of experience you need to get a job fast--and we do it at a price you can afford. With the skills we provide, you will have no problem finding the kind of construction job that you have always desired.

Women In Construction
Ask anyone what their image of a construction worker is, and chances are they'll say something about a man. But the truth is that construction and other heavy equipment industries are no longer the old boys' clubs that they used to be. More and more these days, women are rising to places of real prominence and accomplishment in the industry, due to hard work, smarts, and ability.

Safety Training For Heavy Equipment

With great power comes great responsibility. That's why drivers of heavy equipment have to be especially careful to be aware of the power they're handling. A bad judgment in an ordinary car can be bad enough--imagine then the kind of damage you could do if you make a similarly small mistake in a machine like a excavator!

Proper safety training for heavy equipment is a must when it comes to big machines. In order to avoid these kinds of accidents, you should attend the classes offered here at the Heavy Equipment Operating School. Not only will they make you a safer operator--but by making you a safer operator they will also make you a more attractive potential employee when you start searching for jobs.

The courses offered here at HETA are specifically designed to, first, make you better able to handle heavy equipment, and second, get you a job where you can use your acquired skills. We offer two courses: basic (four weeks long) and advanced (six weeks). During these courses, you'll learn a mixture of theoretical subjects (such as Pads, Parking Lots, Equipment Maintenance, and OSHA Regulations) and practical techniques.

Backhoe Operation
As experienced construction workers are well aware, the backhoe is a very powerful machine. It can make tasks like digging or transporting heavy materials a snap, but it can also be dangerous. Attempting backhoe operation without proper training could cause harmful and potentially costly situations, like personal injury. So you may think you can handle the backhoe on your own, but getting proper instruction is definitely the way to go.

Training can significantly minimize the dangers of heavy machinery, and this type of instruction is not hard to find. At the HETA, we offer courses of study that cover use of the backhoe and other powerful machinery. Even better, our courses are very reasonably priced, so you won't have to break the bank to get the training you need.

Excavator Training
As anyone who's spent some time on a construction site knows, excavators are serious pieces of equipment. They're powerful--and it's exactly this power that makes so many construction foremen reluctant to hire inexperienced workers. Put someone who doesn't know what he or she is doing behind the wheel of a go-kart and the results can be disastrous enough--but put that individual in charge of a excavator, and you could have injury, damage, even a lawsuit on your hands.

Men and women who want to break into the profession should get some education, like excavator training. And there's no better place to get the kind of education you need than here at HETA. We offer both basic and advanced courses for working men and women of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels, so that you can get down to working the job you want quickly and easily.
